FAQ

What if I don't have a full team?
No problem! Complete the registration form with the players that you have, this will reserve your spot. Next, you will have two options. First option: If we have extra tables, you can choose to only play with the group you are bringing (under 8 players). Second option: We can group you with other small groups to make a table of 8 players.

Where does my money go?
100% of the proceeds goes to Hamilton County Firefighters who have children or are themselves saddled with extraordinary medical conditions. The Fathead Challenge is associated with the Hamilton County Professional Fire Fighters Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Can I bring my own drinks?
Unfortunately, no. An unlimited supply of beverages will be available for your responsible consumption. Your entry fee of $30 includes beer, wine, water and soft drinks. Please refrain from bringing in your own drinks.

Is it all you can eat and drink?
Not exactly. Beer, wine, and soft drinks will flow until they're gone. Don't make this your personal challenge, but so far, we have never run out. Your $50 admission includes sandwich, chips, and sides from Earl-B's fabulous BBQ.

Can I bring my own food?
Yes, in fact, most bring snacks for yourself or to share with those at your table. Earl-B's BBQ starts serving around 6pm. Just take your meal ticket to the serving table at your convenience before they stop serving (usually around 7:30 or 8.) If there is any left, anyone may come for second helpings until it is gone.

What time should I get there?
Early! Doors open and happy hour starts at 5:30p. Trivia questions start at 7pm, but arrive early to check in and get your game face on. Arriving early also allows you time to leisurely purchase raffle tickets and bid on the fabulous silent auction items.

How long does it last?
5:30p - 11:00pm

Is lodging available nearby?
There are several great hotels within a short drive of Holy Spirit at Geist. We do not have a contract with any of them this year, however.

Do I need to bring cash?
We have some awesome raffle prizes again this year. You may purchase $2 raffle tickets by cash or credit. The 50/50, however, has to be purchased with cash. And by the way, last year's 50/50 was over $700 to the winner!!! Other cash-only games may also be offered for your enjoyment. Remember, all the proceeds go back to our own Firefighter families.

I suck at trivia, will I have fun?
Don't worry. Trivia lovers and haters alike think The Fathead Challenge is the best night of the year. There is no bigger trivia night in central Indiana! Trivia teams of up to 8 come up with a single answer to various trivia questions. If you prefer to help instead, please contact us in advance. We love volunteers!
